ProductsAluminum Boat Propellers Aluminum propellers are generally installed on a boat when it is delivered in order to keep the unit price as low as possible for the customer. A boat customer may be able to upgrade to a better quality propeller when buying a new boat at a better combined price. Boat dealers should wet test their boats to insure that the wide open throttle boat propeller rpm with the installed propeller are within the manufacturers recommended throttle range specifications. Most boats come from the factory with a sea level propeller installed, but it is up to the dealer to install the correct propeller for the altitude where it will be operated. A boat at sea level will be able to run a propeller 3-4 inches higher in pitch at the correct rpm than the same boat at 4500 ft. because of atmospheric pressure. By all means, make sure that the dealer has at least installed the correct diameter and pitch propeller on the boat. Some dealers take the time to insure that your boat has the right diameter and pitch boat propeller installed and some do not! Stainless Steel Boat Propellers (high performance) At the present, the correct stainless steel propeller is the propeller of choice for the best fuel economy and performance for a boat. In most cases the fuel savings and durability will offset the cost of a stainless performance propeller in a matter of time if you are the average boater. Most boat propellers are different in diameter, rake, pitch and blade geometry. Getting the right boat propeller is complex but can be achieved with the right understanding of propeller propulsion. If you have questions about the correct 3 blade 4 blade or 5 blade boat propeller... we can help! We will need to know in your call or e-mail:Make and length of boat.
